2018 Underground Railroad Bus Tour

In 2016 the Oldham County History Center received two special designations from the National Park Service as a site and facility for the National Underground Railroad Network. This tour will take you to some remarkable places where people sacrificed their lives and often were separated from their families as they became freedom seekers by traveling the Underground Railroad.
We visit sites in Kentucky, Indiana and Ohio including stops at the Freedom Center museum in Cincinnati. Meet experts and people who portray the conductors and freedom seekers that resisted and succeeded in breaking the cycle of slavery. In addition expert historians and archaeologists will provide special insight to life during this Antebellum period of history in America.
