Souper Supper Lecture Series at the Irish Rover, Too

Join us for these special evening programs in the winter months featuring exciting speakers and topics. All programs take place at the Irish Rover, Too on 117 E. Main in LaGrange. Cost of program includes special soup/bread with dessert. Reservations ONLY: 502-222-0826. Proceeds to benefit our student archaeology summer camps. Please note: The original release stated that the Souper Supper series was to be held at the Oldham County History Center. The location has been changed to the Irish Rover Too, to accommodate a larger crowd.
“From Leather to Linen” and Appraisal Fair:
Special tips for taking care of your family heirloom pieces” featuring special guest Jan Jasper. History center educator and archivist, Jan Jasper, will share her knowledge about ways to preserve and protect special collections including scrapbooks, leathers, linen, metals, letters, and just about anything else you can think of. In addition, appraiser Mike Brown will be on hand to appraise your favorite heirloom piece!!

“Kentucky Afield: A Night with Tim Farmer!!!”
Ky. Afield host, director and producer, Tim Farmer, will give us a history of the world’s longest running television show, Ky. Afield. Vintage wildlife films by Carl Maslowski will be featured as background entertainment during dinner.

“Trials and Tribulations: a Glimpse at Oldham County’s Early Court Records Prior to 1850”
History center volunteer archivist, Genie Fortunato, will discuss some of the most unusual and enlightening trials and court records that reveal the early court structure in Oldham County.
