"Simon Bolivar Buckner: Beyond the Southern Storm"
Oldham County History Center Dinner/Lecture, January 18
Author Stephen Russell will be giving a lecture on his new book about Simon Bolivar Buckner: Beyond the Southern Storm" for the bimonthly dinner/lecture series sponsored by the Oldham County History Center. Once called the greatest traitor since Benedict Arnold. Mr. Russell's research on Simon Buckner brings to light the true character and contributions of this controversial figure, who became governor of Kentucky and ultimately was a candidate for vice president of the United States.
The dinner/lecture will be held at the Station House Grill in Crestwood. Guests will chose from entrees of parmesan encrusted grouper, ribeye or chicken teriakyi.
