Oldham County History Center to host 2nd Annual Juneteenth Celebration Saturday June 18th

As part of their continuing cultural diversity series the Oldham County History Center is hosting its second annual Juneteenth Celebration on Saturday June 18th beginning at 3pm.  Please join the History Center in this celebration with a special focus on the Oldham County African Americans who have served in the military.  The day's line-up is as follows:

Guests of Honor: Purple Heart Veterans

Master of Ceremonies: Ashley Henderson and Brandi Miller

Guest Speakers: Celeste Lanier and Lt. Col. Arthur Walters

Special Performances by: The River City Drum Corp, Amber Beaumont of Covenant Methodist Church and the Brotherhoods from Local Churches

Special exhibits and films will be on display including, "The History of the Civil Rights Movement in Kentucky ."

The day's events will conclude with a community basket meal at 6pm.
