Oldham County History Center to present Jo Anna Holt Watson, author of A Taste of the Sweet Apple May 11 th

As the final installment in our Kentucky Humanities Book Series, the Oldham County History Center is pleased to host Jo Anna Holt Watson discussing her book A Taste of the Sweet Apple . In this memoir, Ms. Watson takes us back to her days growing up on a Tobacco Farm in Woodford County. Through a vivid and moving retelling of her childhood adventures and experiences, she introduces us to her wonderful world through real-life characters such as Sallie Gay, Doc, Eva Belle and especially Joe Collins. Currently Ms. Watson lives in
Louisville and is an entrepreneur and recycling advocate. Come hear and meet Jo Anna Holt Watson at the Irish Rover Too in LaGrange Wednesday May 11th at 12noon. The cost is $10 for members of the History Center and $12 for nonmembers and includes lunch. Space is limited so please call 222-0826 for information and reservations. |
