Preserving Oldham County's Native Wildflowers
Naturalist Discusses Importance of Backyard Habitat

Program, May 12
Naturalist and Wildlife Coordinator for the Backyard Habitat Program Mary Carol Cooper is the program coordinator for the Salato Native Plant Program and Backyard Wildlife Habitat Program for the Ky. Dept. of Fish and Wildlife Resources.  Her efforts have resulted in major restoration initiatives. She has experience and knowledge in wild seed collection and propagation.  Cooper will discuss how to protect and preserve native plants and wildflowers in our region and discuss why these efforts are important to the preservation of our natural and cultural heritage.

Dinner lecture at the Irish Rover, Too, Main Street, LaGrange.  $15 members, $18 non-members.
